Former Beit Shemesh Mayor Joins Blue and White, Predicts Election Surprise

Aliza Bloch, the former mayor of Beit Shemesh, has joined the Blue and White party's slate for the upcoming Knesset elections. In an interview with Arutz 7, Bloch expressed her belief that the party will achieve a significant surprise in the elections, attributing this optimism to a public weary of political infighting.

Bloch stated that she received numerous offers from across the political spectrum before deciding to join Blue and White. She explained her choice was driven by a focus on Israel's future and a desire to foster partnership, unity, and hope. She criticized the prevailing focus on "bloc battles" within Israeli politics, arguing that the nation needs a broad government built on consensus.

"The public knows what it wants and it's partnership. They are tired of the endless battles," Bloch asserted. She believes Blue and White is the only party advocating for unity rather than division, which she sees as essential for advancing national processes. Bloch concluded by expressing confidence that the party will perform well, driven by voters seeking an alternative to the current political polarization.
