Channel 14 Host Bids Farewell to Co-Host Live on Air

Channel 14 host Yehuda Shlezinger bid a live farewell to his co-host Yaakov Bardugo on Tuesday evening, following Bardugo's placement on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party list for the upcoming Knesset elections.

"There are evenings when it's difficult to start a program as usual. After a long period together, evening after evening, shoulder to shoulder, the time has come to say goodbye," Shlezinger stated at the beginning of the broadcast. He expressed personal disappointment, saying, "Yaakov Bardugo is leaving us, and I must tell you, Yaakov, something personal from the heart. How did you not tell me anything? I sit here every day, you pick my brain, I know who's coming, who's going, who's switching parties, who's being thrown out, even before they know they're being thrown out. Do I have to call this you leaving based on media pushes? No, friend."

The Likud party published its list of reserved spots for the 26th Knesset elections on Tuesday, just hours before the deadline for submitting party lists. Yaakov Bardugo was placed at number 11 on the list. Other reserved spots included Talik Guili at number 9, Elisha Medan at number 15, David Pater at number 16, Eli Goldschmidt at number 26, and Itzik Bonzel at number 29.
