Channel 14 Journalist Sagi Avrahamoff Announces Departure After Magazine Closure
Israeli journalist Sagi Avrahamoff revealed on social media that he has ended his tenure at Channel 14 following the closure of the channel's magazine, Magazine 14. Avrahamoff described the announcement as a painful moment, contrasting it with previous job dismissals where he felt relief. He expressed deep sadness and a "sting in the heart" upon learning about the magazine's shutdown, calling his time at the channel "educational and fascinating."
This week, a special appreciation event was held for all employees of the now-closed magazine. Avrahamoff shared that during the event, he witnessed a strong sense of mission among his colleagues and a recognition of the media's significant impact and the importance of maintaining this field.
Despite the unexpected end, Avrahamoff concluded his message on an optimistic note, thanking the magazine's leadership team including editor Roy Aharoni, deputy editor Juliette Shilian Padlon, and managing editor Itayel Atlo, as well as Channel 14 for the opportunity to work there. He hinted that his departure might not be permanent, suggesting he could return to Channel 14 or join other media outlets in the future.
