Cybersecurity Startup Cylake Raises $245 Million in New Funding Round

Globes
Translated & summarized from Globes by baba
The story · English

Cylake, a cybersecurity platform focused on "operational sovereignty," announced it has secured $245 million in convertible notes. The funding round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Picture Capital and Redpoint Ventures.

This latest funding brings Cylake's total capital raised to $290 million, following a $45 million seed round in March 2026 led by Greylock Partners. The company was founded by Nir Zuk, the founder and former CTO of Palo Alto Networks, alongside Wilson Shieh, who led engineering at Palo Alto Networks, and Ehood (Udi) Shamir, a co-founder of SentinelOne.

Cylake was first revealed in March 2026 after its initial seed funding. The new capital will be allocated towards further development of its cybersecurity platform and expanding its workforce. A beta version is anticipated by the end of 2026, with full market availability expected in 2027.

"Most of the market has been slow to realize how AI and SaaS have changed the game for enterprise cybersecurity. Cylake identified this gap early and is now building the solution," stated Ravi Mhatre, a partner and co-founder at Lightspeed Venture Partners, who will join Cylake's board. He added, "Organizations with heavy regulation have demands around data sovereignty and control that existing approaches were not designed to address, and Cylake has assembled an exceptional team to attack this opportunity."
