Kenyon "Kenyon" Loften Jr. Shines in Hapoel Jerusalem's Season Opener

Kenyon Loften Jr. made a significant impact in his debut for Hapoel Jerusalem, scoring 23 points to lead the team to a dominant 110-77 victory over Maccabi Ashdod on Tuesday. Loften showcased a versatile performance, hitting 8 of 9 field goals, including one three-pointer, and adding an assist, three rebounds, and one turnover. He recorded a game-high efficiency rating of 26 for his team.

The decisive run for Hapoel Jerusalem came in the second half, with Loften specifically contributing a personal 9-0 scoring streak at the start of the third quarter. This performance helped secure a strong opening to the season for the Jerusalem team.

Loften expressed his excitement about joining Hapoel Jerusalem, highlighting the organization's strength and the caliber of his teammates. He noted his developing chemistry with former teammate David Rhodes, stating, "We are still learning each other. I am learning Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and I love being here." He added that he chose to come to Jerusalem because of the "big organization" and the players involved.
