Blue and White Party Seeks 'YN' Knesset Slot, Names Top Candidates

The Blue and White party announced it will submit its list for the 26th Knesset and is requesting to retain the Knesset letters 'YN' (Ches-Nun), which it and its chairman, Benny Gantz, have used in previous elections. The list will be submitted by incumbent Knesset member and faction chairwoman Pnina Tamano-Shata and new candidate Aliza Bloch.

The party stated that its top ten candidates will include five women, positioned at numbers 2, 3, 5, 8, and 10. Additionally, the list will feature two residents from northern Israel, three from the Gaza envelope communities, two kibbutz members, one moshav resident, and a representative from the Druze community.

Benny Gantz, the party's chairman and a retired Lieutenant General, stated that Israel needs to establish a broad, Zionist government to address the nation's challenges. He described the Blue and White slate as comprising worthy and principled individuals who believe only a cross-bloc government can effectively serve the country. Gantz outlined the party's goals, including passing a universal conscription law, establishing a state commission of inquiry, and advancing state education for all, emphasizing that Blue and White will continue to prioritize Israel.
