Gantz Secures Key Figures for Blue and White Party List

Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz is solidifying the party's roster for the upcoming 27th Knesset elections, announcing that MK Pnina Tamano-Shata will be placed second on the list. Gantz reached an agreement with Tamano-Shata, a veteran lawmaker and former Minister of Aliyah and Integration, to continue her political career with the party.

Also confirmed to remain with Blue and White are MK Alon Schuster, former Minister of Agriculture and a minister in the Defense Ministry, and former MK Maj. Gen. (Res.) Mofid Marei. Schuster, who represents a community in the Gaza envelope and fought during the October 7th attacks, previously chaired the Knesset's State Audit Committee. Marei, from the Druze community, served in the 24th Knesset and is currently the chairman of Tel Hai Academic College.

Tamano-Shata has focused on issues concerning the families of hostages, reservists, wounded soldiers, widows, and orphans during her tenure. Schuster's parliamentary work has included agriculture, food security, and legislation for service members and their families. Marei has been involved in rehabilitation projects for northern Israel and the resumption of academic studies at Tel Hai College.

The party's announcement highlights Gantz's efforts to assemble a list that retains experienced lawmakers while incorporating individuals with public, security, and municipal backgrounds.
