Netanyahu Frames Election as Choice Between Strong Right-Wing Government or Weak Left-Wing One

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, also the chairman of the Likud party, held a press conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday to introduce new candidates for the party's Knesset list. He announced six new additions: Talik Guili, Yaakov Bardugo, Eli Goldschmidt, Elisha Medan, David Peter, and Itzik Bonzel.

During his speech at the Orient Hotel, Netanyahu framed the upcoming election as a critical choice for the country. "The central question of the elections is this: Will it be a broad and strong right-wing government led by me, or a weak left-wing government led by Eisenkot?" he stated.

Netanyahu also presented the updated Likud party list for the elections. Notably, he moved his own position to number one, with other prominent figures like Eli Cohen, Amir Ohana, Yariv Levin, Miri Regev, and Yisrael Katz also securing high spots. Several of the newly announced candidates were placed further down the list, with Guili at number nine, Bardugo at eleven, Medan at fifteen, Peter at sixteen, Goldschmidt at twenty-six, and Bonzel at twenty-nine.
