The IDF said that, minutes after Hezbollah fired rockets at Israeli forces, the Air Force struck the launcher that had been loaded and ready to fire additional rockets. The military said the attack destroyed the launcher shortly after the original salvo.
According to the IDF spokesperson, the strike caused more rockets to be expelled from the launcher. Those rockets fell in an open area in southern Lebanon.
The statement did not say whether there were any casualties or damage from the incident, beyond the launcher being hit and the additional rockets landing in open ground. The IDF presented the strike as a rapid response to the earlier rocket fire at its forces.
