Unexploded Grenade Found Near Real Estate Mogul's Home in Kfar Shmaryahu

Police launched an investigation Tuesday afternoon after an unexploded stun grenade was discovered on a street near the private residence of a real estate businessman in Kfar Shmaryahu. The incident is being treated as criminal in nature, with no injuries or damage reported.

This event follows a series of similar incidents. Two days prior, a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of throwing a grenade at a business in Or Yehuda. This suspect was part of a gang involved in multiple violent offenses and the use of illegal weapons across the Gush Dan region, injuring five civilians. Significant investigative developments by the Tel Aviv Central Unit led to the arrest and indictment of three gang members. The Or Yehuda grenade suspect had been evading police since May.

Last month, a fragmentation grenade was thrown at a residential building in Holon, prompting an investigation by local police and forensic teams. No one was harmed, and the building sustained no damage.

Approximately a month before that, police arrested crime boss Yossi Musli, an 18-year-old, and two men in their 30s. They were suspected of involvement in incidents related to a feud between crime families, specifically the Jarushi family, and a "grenade war" centered around the "Japnika" restaurant chain. A district court later approved an administrative arrest warrant for Musli, imposing restrictions including 45 days of house arrest in Savyon and a ban on using the internet for messaging applications.
