Hand Grenade Found at Prominent Real Estate Developer's Home

Police and bomb disposal experts were urgently called to the upscale village of Kfar Shmaryahu on Tuesday following a report of a suspicious object near the entrance to the private home of a well-known real estate businessman. A stun grenade, believed to be of Israeli military origin, was discovered unexploded.

Authorities immediately cordoned off the area, collected evidence, and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported. Police are currently examining whether there is a direct connection between the grenade and the homeowner as the criminal investigation continues.

In a separate but related development, the Tel Aviv District's Central Unit announced a significant investigative success in its fight against illegal arms and violence in the Gush Dan region. This past week, officers apprehended a 33-year-old suspect who had been evading police since May.

This suspect is allegedly linked to a criminal gang responsible for numerous serious offenses in the central region, with three other members already indicted. Authorities suspect the apprehended individual is the one who threw a stun grenade at a business in Or Yehuda, an attack that injured five civilians to varying degrees. Following a significant investigative breakthrough over the weekend, police located and arrested the suspect at his hiding place. He was brought before the Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, where his detention was extended for investigative purposes.
