Rabbinical Exam Dates to Be Announced Soon After Tender Completion

The tender process for administering the Chief Rabbinate's examinations has concluded, with the exact dates expected to be published in the coming days. The examinations are scheduled to take place in the Hebrew month of Cheshvan, but the specific dates have not yet been announced. Thousands of students are awaiting this information to plan their studies for the upcoming winter learning session.

The delay in announcing the dates was attributed to the tender process for organizing the exams. The tender was only issued after the new director-general, Yehuda Avidan, assumed his position. The Chief Rabbinate's examination department recently released approximately 500 scores from the Av 5786 (August 2025) exams, with results published within 31 days of the test dates. These scores cover a range of certifications, including kashrut supervisors, ritual slaughterers, and various rabbinical roles for both domestic and overseas positions, as well as marriage registrars and conversion judges.
