Thousands Await Chief Rabbinate Exam Dates Amid Scheduling Uncertainty in Cheshvan

Thousands of yeshiva students and married Torah scholars (avreichim) are currently awaiting the announcement of the Chief Rabbinate exam dates scheduled for the Hebrew month of Cheshvan. The uncertainty over the exact timing of these exams is complicating their ability to plan their winter study schedules effectively. Many candidates are actively inquiring about the exam dates, trying to determine whether the tests will be held at the beginning of Cheshvan, coinciding with the start of the winter study period, or later in the month.

A source within the Chief Rabbinate explained that the delay in publishing the dates is partly due to the high number of registrants. This has prompted the Rabbinate to initiate a new tender process to manage the exams. The source estimated that the official exam dates will likely be announced within about a week to a week and a half. Until then, candidates remain uncertain about the precise timing of the exams in Cheshvan.
