Syrian Citizen Breaches IDF Post in Golan Heights Unnoticed
A Syrian citizen managed to reach an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) post near the southern Golan Heights on Monday, crossing from the Syrian side of the border without being detected by forces. The individual has been transferred to security forces for questioning. Initial military assessments suggest the incident was not an attempted attack, and a systemic review is underway.
In a separate incident overnight, IDF soldiers apprehended two other Syrian suspects in the Mount Hermon sector. They are suspected of involvement in smuggling attempts along the border and have also been taken for investigation.
