MK Uri Maklev Bids Farewell, Expresses Desire to Continue Public Service

Member of Knesset Uri Maklev has announced his departure from public service, expressing gratitude to the public for the opportunity to serve. In a statement, Maklev thanked the public for allowing him to represent them and stand by their side over the years, stating he strived to fulfill his duties with faith and integrity.

He highlighted his efforts to be attentive to the public's needs, both general and private, and to act in favor of "holy matters of Israel" and public systems. Maklev also noted his initiative in establishing the "Charedi Authority," which he said has been well-received and operates successfully in 57 local authorities.

Maklev described the public's feedback, strength, and appreciation as a source of motivation, emphasizing a fruitful and special collaboration. He conveyed that the sense of duty remained as strong on his last day as it was on his first, stating, "The mission did not weigh on me."

Despite stepping down from his Knesset role, Maklev affirmed his ongoing desire and willingness to continue serving the public from any position possible. He concluded his statement with a wish for a good and blessed new year.
