Israeli Forces Raid Home in Syrian Village of Buraika

Israeli forces conducted a raid and searched a house in the village of Buraika in the Quneitra Governorate of southern Syria on Tuesday. The official Syrian "Al-Ikhbariya" channel reported the incursion, stating that Israeli occupation forces "infiltrated the village of Buraika in the Quneitra countryside, raided and searched a house." No details were provided regarding the size of the force involved or any arrests made. Neither Syrian nor Israeli officials have commented on the incident.

This event follows a pattern of recent Israeli incursions and shelling in the Quneitra region. On Sunday, "Al-Ikhbariya" reported that Israeli forces fired an artillery shell near the village of Al-Samdaniyah Al-Sharqiyah. The day before, Israeli forces fired six artillery shells on the outskirts of Al-Rafid town in southern Quneitra and a force of five military vehicles entered the area before withdrawing without making arrests.

Buraika itself has seen repeated Israeli incursions in recent months, including one on July 31st where three military vehicles entered the village, set up a checkpoint, and searched passersby without making arrests. Southern Syria, particularly the Quneitra and Daraa governorates, has experienced near-daily Israeli incursions and attacks, including raids, searches, arrests, and the establishment of military checkpoints.
