Gazan Man Killed During Israeli Raid on Charity in West Bank

A Palestinian man from Gaza was killed Tuesday during an Israeli raid targeting the headquarters of the Tulkarm Charity Committee in the occupied West Bank. Palestinian Civil Defense reported that its teams recovered the body of Saadi Maliha from inside the committee's building, later identifying him as a resident of the Gaza Strip. Medical and local sources confirmed the deceased was Saadi Saeed Mahmoud Maliha, an employee at the facility.

Civil Defense and the Palestinian Red Crescent dealt with the body and transferred it to a Tulkarm hospital. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. Israeli forces raided the central Tulkarm Charity Committee, affiliated with the Ministry of Waqf and Religious Affairs, early Tuesday, subsequently sealing the premises.

Local sources stated that a large Israeli military force forced several Gaza residents staying at the facility to leave. The soldiers then arrested some of them and took them to an unknown location. During the raid, Israeli forces caused damage and destruction inside the building, later posting a sign at the entrance declaring the committee "illegal and supporting terrorism."

Israeli forces also fired stun grenades and tear gas at journalists covering the raid, pursuing them in the vicinity without reports of injuries. This incident occurs amid ongoing Israeli military escalation in the Tulkarm Governorate over recent months, which has included raids on towns and refugee camps, home invasions, arrests of Palestinians, and the imposition of checkpoints and movement restrictions, as part of escalating measures in the northern West Bank.
