Police Uncover Major Weapons Cache in Jadeidi-Makr
Israeli police and Border Police (MAGAV) forces discovered a significant weapons cache in the town of Jadeidi-Makr on September 8, 2026. The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial arsenal, including a LAW anti-tank missile, stun and smoke grenades, dozens of magazines for M16 rifles, Uzi submachine guns, and pistols, along with a large quantity of ammunition.
Following the discovery, police arrested two local residents suspected of involvement in storing the weapons. The confiscated arms and ammunition have been transferred to specialists for further examination.
Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation to determine the origin of the weapons, the circumstances of their storage, and any potential links between the detainees and illegal activities. Police aim to ascertain whether the cache was intended for criminal use or was connected to preparations for other unlawful actions.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by the police and MAGAV to identify illegal weapons depots and prevent their use.
