Israeli Actor Zion Baruch Visits Western Wall for Selichot Prayers

Israeli actor Zion Baruch visited the Western Wall on Sunday for a special Selichot (penitential prayers) tour. He was accompanied by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Rabbi Mordechai, known as the 'Rabbi of Celebrities,' and Elhanan Elbaz, the Sephardic cantor of the Western Wall.

During his visit, Baruch expressed his emotions, stating, "It is moving to arrive at the Holy of Holies." The visit took place during the period of Selichot, which are special prayers recited in the days leading up to Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and through Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement).

The Western Wall, a remnant of the ancient Jewish Temple complex, is one of Judaism's holiest sites, and visits there, especially during religious observances, are significant for many Israelis.
