R' Itzi Ackerman Releases New Single, “You Are Unique”

Sometimes the most powerful songs come from the least expected places. That is exactly what happened to musician R' Itzi Ackerman, who came to play at the Be'er Yitzchak yeshiva and, during a break, heard the students singing words that felt like a personal letter from the Creator.

Those simple, moving words struck him deeply, and today they are being released to the world as his new single, “You Are Unique.” The song was written by Shimi Zilber from a place of daily struggle familiar to every person. In a world where the evil inclination tries to bring people down, accuse them and create a sense of low self-worth, the song comes to remind listeners of a simple truth, with all the ups and downs, the Holy One, blessed be He, is proud of us.

"The message of 'I have myriads of angels, but only one like you' is a message that can strengthen every Jew," R' Itzi says. "The production of the song took nearly half a year, during Operation Roar of the Lion, with not a few delays and disappointments along the way.
