Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona Signs Romanian Striker Alexandru Pop
Romanian striker Alexandru Pop, 26, has reached an agreement with Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona. Pop, who joins from Dinamo Bucharest, has agreed to a two-year contract with an option for an additional season.
Pop is expected to bolster the team's offense upon his arrival in Israel, following medical examinations and the official signing of his contract. He will join the squad managed by coach Guy Melamed.
Pop began the current season with Dinamo Bucharest, where he scored one goal and provided one assist in eight league matches. Last season, he netted five goals and assisted two for the same club. His breakout season came three years ago with Romanian side Oțelul Galați, scoring 11 goals and contributing three assists.
