United Arab List Submits Knesset Slate, Aims for 7 Seats
The United Arab List has submitted its candidate list for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. Party leader, Member of Knesset Mansour Abbas, stated the list's goal is to secure at least seven seats, enabling them to participate in replacing the current government.
During the submission to the Central Elections Committee, Abbas declared the party sees itself as a partner in the next government. He added that any Israeli citizen can view the United Arab List as their own and vote for it with full conviction, especially after the addition of former MK Yoav Segalovitch.
Abbas criticized the current government, calling it a failure that must be replaced, and accusing it of failing to protect citizens' security during the events of October 7th. The party also requested that its name be added to ballot papers in Arabic.
The United Arab List held a meeting of its top 12 candidates in Kafr Qasim on Monday before heading to Jerusalem to officially file their candidacy. The list includes Mansour Abbas (Maghar), Yoav Segalovitch (Tel Aviv), Walid Taha (Kafr Qasim), Walid Al-Huashla (Sawa'a), Iman Khatib Yassin (Yafa an-Naseriyye), Yasser Hujeirat (Bir al-Maksur), Ibrahim Al-Touri (Rahat), Abdelkarim Masri (Kafr Kara), Abdelkarim Azzam (Nazareth), Ibrahim Abu Laban (Ramla), Mohammed Al-Heib (Tuba-Zangaria), and Hamam Abu Mokh (Baqa al-Gharbiyye).
