Tshuva's Daughter Negotiates Major Acquisition of Hamat Gader Resort

Gal Naor, daughter of Israeli business magnate Yitzhak Tshuva, is in advanced negotiations to acquire a 50% to 60% stake in Hamat Gader, a popular resort and spa complex located in the southern Golan Heights.

The deal, reportedly worth between NIS 100 million and NIS 150 million (approximately $27 million to $40 million), is expected to be finalized in the coming days. The shares are currently held by four kibbutzim: Mevoh Chamat, Kfar Haruv, Afik, and Misgav.

Hamat Gader, situated in the Yarmouk Valley, spans approximately 150 dunams (37 acres) and features mineral-rich hot springs, a spa, water facilities, and a crocodile farm. It attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Naor's plan for the resort includes expanding the existing holiday village and developing a new Wellness Resort. This new facility would incorporate additional spa and thermal bath areas, restaurants, lodging, and accommodation rooms. This acquisition aligns with Naor's existing ventures in the hotel and real estate sectors, which include projects in Netanya and the Dead Sea.

Naor, an architect by training, has a background in major renovation and development projects, including the Plaza Hotel in New York when it was owned by her father. She previously led the Park Bavli residential project in Tel Aviv and her hotel activities at the Dead Sea. She has spoken about growing up immersed in the construction and design world, accompanying her father on site visits as a child.
