Calf Pain Raises Concern Over Tamir Blatt's Injury
Concern at Maccabi Tel Aviv. The guard was hurt early in the second game against Hapoel Holon and will undergo imaging, Sport 5 reported.
Maccabi Tel Aviv took a big lead today, Wednesday, against Hapoel Holon, but early in the game Tamir Blatt was injured and went off. The guard, who starred in the first game, felt a stab in his calf muscle and will not return after scoring two points in seven minutes.
The guard, whose contract expires in the summer, will have a scan tomorrow. Blatt scored 20 points with 12 assists in the first game against Holon, one of his best games of the season, and one of Maccabi Tel Aviv's most important players. This season he is averaging 9.6 points and 4.5 assists per game in the Premier League, along with 39.3% from three-point range.
The third game between the teams will take place on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
