Hezbollah Drone Attack on IDF Forces Met With Israeli Retaliation

Hezbollah launched two attack drones targeting Israeli military forces in the Al-Taher mountain range in southern Lebanon on Monday night. The Israeli military reported that no soldiers were harmed in the drone attack. In response, the Israeli Air Force conducted a series of retaliatory strikes against Hezbollah targets across several areas in southern Lebanon, including a weapons depot, according to the IDF. The Israeli military also stated it attacked several Hezbollah operatives observed transporting weapons near Kfar Rouman, aiming to neutralize an immediate threat to Israeli forces. The IDF emphasized that measures were taken to minimize civilian risk during the operation, utilizing precision munitions and aerial surveillance. Israel is currently investigating reports of potential injuries to uninvolved individuals resulting from the strikes. Separately, the IDF reported striking near Nabatieh on Sunday after the drone launches, claiming the action eliminated several Hezbollah operatives. The military asserted that it will not permit Hezbollah to harm Israeli citizens or forces and will continue to address threats while adhering to the ceasefire agreement.
