Tally Gotliv Concludes Meeting With PM Netanyahu Ahead of Likud Departure
Member of Knesset Tally Gotliv concluded a farewell meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, ahead of her departure from the Likud party. The meeting, which followed days of public tension and exchanges between the two, was described as conciliatory.
Gotliv shared on her X account that Netanyahu expressed gratitude for her work during the outgoing term, supporting the right-wing government and himself as Prime Minister. She conveyed her appreciation for him, stating, "I will always protect him, even when we sometimes disagree on the way."
During the meeting, Gotliv also outlined her goals for the next Knesset term, including combating what she termed "the tyranny of the civil service" and curbing the power of the Supreme Court. She pledged to continue working against those she believes acted against Netanyahu and the right-wing camp, vowing to see "conspirators and malicious pursuers" brought to justice.
According to Gotliv, Netanyahu conveyed thanks from his wife, Sara, and son for her efforts. The Prime Minister shook her hand at the end of the meeting and wished her success in her future endeavors.
