Tally Gottlieb Meets Netanyahu Amidst Speculation of Party Switch

Member of Knesset Tally Gottlieb met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday to quell rumors that she was attempting to draw votes away from the Likud party following her move to the Otzma Yehudit party. Gottlieb stated after the meeting that she had a "productive" discussion with the Prime Minister, expressing her appreciation for his thanks and recognition of her work for the right-wing government. She affirmed her loyalty to Netanyahu, even when they disagree, and reiterated her commitment to fighting bureaucratic overreach, curbing the power of the Supreme Court, and bringing to justice those who have pursued him and the right-wing camp.

Netanyahu, accompanied by his wife and son, reportedly thanked Gottlieb for her activities and wished her success. The meeting was prompted by concerns within Netanyahu's circle about potential damage Gottlieb could inflict on the Likud. These concerns arose after Gottlieb made sharp remarks on Channel 14 about her treatment within the party, particularly regarding what she described as an "assassination operation" during the primaries. Netanyahu summoned her for an urgent meeting to de-escalate the situation and persuade her to cease public criticism, at least until the elections.

Earlier, Gottlieb had expressed on Channel 14 that while Likud is an excellent party, she did not feel at home there, implying her new affiliation with Otzma Yehudit provides a better fit.
