Gottlieb Leaves Likud for Ben Gvir's Party After Netanyahu Criticism

Member of Knesset (MK) Tally Gottlieb has officially moved from the Likud party to Otzma Yehudit, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The agreement was reached between representatives of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud and Ben Gvir's Otzma Yehudit. Gottlieb's move follows recent sharp criticism she leveled against Netanyahu, including demanding he run in the 12th spot on the Likud's list for the upcoming elections. Under the terms of the agreement, Gottlieb will not resign from the Knesset but will contest the 27th Knesset elections on the Otzma Yehudit slate. She is widely expected to be placed in the fourth position on the party's list. Media reports suggest Gottlieb's decision was influenced by concerns about her potential failure to be elected to the next Knesset, which would leave her without parliamentary immunity to face an indictment.
