Man Arrested for Online Sexual Offenses Against Minors
Police in Bat Yam have arrested a 20-year-old man suspected of committing sexual offenses against minors online. Authorities allege the suspect used social media to contact underage girls, posing as a minor himself, and subsequently committed sexual offenses against them. His detention has been extended until Thursday, September 10th, as the investigation continues under the Bat Yam police precinct.
This arrest follows a separate case last week where a 19-year-old from Jerusalem, Natanel Toledano, was indicted in the Jerusalem District Court for rape, attempted rape, and indecent acts against a 17-year-old girl he met online. According to the indictment, the two met in Jerusalem about two weeks after connecting online and went to an apartment Toledano had rented in the Talpiot neighborhood. After consuming alcohol, Toledano allegedly engaged in sexual acts with the girl without her consent.
