Jerusalem Approves Major Redevelopment Project in Beit HaKerem Neighborhood
The Jerusalem District Planning and Building Commission has approved for deposit a large-scale urban renewal project in the Beit HaKerem neighborhood. The plan, promoted by Capital Gold and Rotstein companies, will see four old residential buildings containing 88 apartments demolished. In their place, 261 new housing units will be constructed.
The project is situated in a central location within the neighborhood, near Begin Boulevard, a hotel complex, and the planned "Begin Roofing" area. Architect Michal Della Pergola is responsible for the architectural design, emphasizing meticulous planning with advanced urban solutions. The design focuses on spacious apartments, with only four units per floor in the tower, and each apartment benefiting from at least two air directions. The modern design incorporates advanced facades and suspended balconies, alongside rich environmental development at ground level. To create a narrower building and an open urban space, the upper floors of the tower will be reduced in size, adhering to the District Commission's guidelines.
Capital Gold, a real estate company active in Jerusalem for over a decade, has previously undertaken projects in central neighborhoods like Ramat Eshkol, Romema, and the German Colony. This Carmon Street project marks their first venture into Beit HaKerem, applying professional standards suited to the urban fabric.
Following the plan's approval, Capital Gold stated, "We express deep satisfaction with the District Commission's decision and thank the long-term apartment owners for their full trust in us throughout the process. We appreciate the fruitful cooperation with the local authority and planning bodies. The Carmon Street project is an important milestone in the company's activity, and we are committed to continuing to lead urban renewal in the capital responsibly and professionally."
