Super-Pharm Retail Chain Sells Mercedes-Benz Cars Online

The Israeli retail chain Super-Pharm has begun selling Mercedes-Benz vehicles on its website, sourced through parallel import channels. The specific model offered is a Mercedes E-Class AMG 350, priced at 500,000 shekels, which is 129,000 shekels less than the official listed price of 629,000 shekels. This development was reported on Sunday, September 6th. However, it is difficult to verify the accuracy of the claimed discount, as the official importer of Mercedes-Benz in Israel, Colmobil, does not offer the E-Class in this particular configuration. A less powerful version, the E-Class 300 AMG, is listed on Colmobil's website for an official price of 630,000 shekels.

Super-Pharm's website is currently functioning solely as a platform for customers to place a prepayment for the vehicles. This model mirrors a similar arrangement for the sale of AION electric vehicles, which were introduced on the Super-Pharm site approximately two months ago. The collaboration with AION is facilitated by shared ownership, as George Horesh, a part-owner of Super-Pharm, also controls the importer of the Chinese brand. Mercedes-Benz, however, has no ownership ties to Super-Pharm.

Unlike the AION launch, Super-Pharm did not publicly announce the availability of the Mercedes-Benz cars, and they can only be found by actively searching for vehicles on the company's website. Super-Pharm is not the first supermarket chain in Israel to enter the automotive sales market; both Osher Ad and Rami Levy have previously begun selling cars. By offering vehicles obtained through parallel import, Super-Pharm is directly competing with the official Mercedes-Benz importer in Israel.
