Super-Pharm Expands Car Sales Beyond Affiliate Brands
The retail chain Super-Pharm has broadened its online sales to include Mercedes-Benz vehicles, moving beyond cars linked to its shareholders. This follows a similar initiative two months prior, when the company began selling AION electric cars on its website. George Horesh, a co-owner of Super-Pharm, also controls the importer of AION, making that partnership unsurprising.
The newly listed Mercedes is an E-Class AMG350, imported indirectly through a foreign dealer rather than directly from official Israeli importer, Colmobil. Super-Pharm lists the car at 500,000 shekels, down from a stated official price of 629,000 shekels. It is unclear if these prices accurately reflect the market, as Colmobil does not offer this specific AMG350 version in Israel, though it does sell a lower-powered E-Class 300 AMG for approximately 630,000 shekels.
Similar to the AION sales, Super-Pharm's website serves as a platform for customers to place a deposit on the vehicle. However, unlike the AION launch, Super-Pharm has not publicly advertised the Mercedes sales, with the cars only discoverable through a search function on the site. The move places Super-Pharm in direct competition with Colmobil, the official Mercedes-Benz importer in Israel, as indirect imports of Mercedes vehicles are becoming increasingly common in the Israeli market.
