Minister Miki Zohar Rejects Ben Gvir's Offer, Affirms Loyalty to Likud

Minister Miki Zohar has publicly stated that she rejected an offer from National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to join his "Otzma Yehudit" party list for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. Zohar clarified that Ben Gvir approached her directly with a proposal for a "realistic spot" on his slate, an offer she immediately turned down. She emphasized her unwavering commitment to the Likud party, stating, "My path was and remains Likud."

Zohar also addressed recent political rumors and what she described as "briefings" aimed at undermining her ahead of the Likud primaries. She asserted that despite alleged attempts to sabotage her candidacy, including "hit lists" targeting her, she remains dedicated to the approximately 19,000 Likud members who voted for her. Zohar pledged to continue advocating for her constituents and working towards a right-wing government, drawing on her extensive public service, including seven years in the Knesset and government.

This is not the first time Zohar has spoken out against perceived political maneuvering. Following her 18th-place finish in the Likud primaries with roughly 19,214 votes, she accused unnamed individuals within the party of orchestrating a campaign against her because she is a "right-wing and opinionated woman" who might disrupt future plans. At the time, she hinted at revealing more details about these actions in the future.
