Shuli Rand and Tsufit Grant Star in New Film 'The Jester'

Shuli Rand, once a celebrated wedding performer in Jerusalem, is returning to the screen in a dramatic new role in the film "The Jester." Directed by Gidi Dar, who previously collaborated with Rand on "Ushpizin," the movie features Rand in what is described as his most tragic and exposed performance to date. The official trailer for the film was released today, generating significant buzz within the film industry. "The Jester" has already garnered 12 Ophir Award nominations, including one for Best Film. The story centers on Moishe, a legendary wedding entertainer whose life unravels due to severe alcohol addiction, leading to the loss of his home, status, and fame. The film follows his struggle for daily survival. Rand stars alongside a notable cast, including Tsufit Grant, Tal Friedman, Malki Goldman, Nira Rabinovitch, and Noam Inbar. The film is slated for release in cinemas in November 2026.
