Israel Imposes Blockade on Palestinian Villages Near Nablus After Settler Stabbing

The Israeli military announced on Monday morning that it had imposed a blockade on several Palestinian villages surrounding the site of a stabbing attack that targeted an Israeli settler near Nablus in the West Bank. The army also launched a manhunt for the perpetrator.

A settler, approximately 20 years old, sustained serious to moderate injuries after being stabbed multiple times inside an outpost near the town of Awarta, east of Nablus. He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment, according to Israeli media reports.

Israeli accounts state that a Palestinian arrived by car at a farm outpost in the area, exited the vehicle, and repeatedly stabbed a settler before fleeing the scene. Palestinian authorities have not yet released independent details regarding the incident.

Israeli police confirmed receiving a report of a stabbing victim in the "Havat Ma'oz Yehuda" area, near the "Otzarin" settlement. Additional forces were dispatched to the location. Magen David Adom paramedics, working with military teams, provided initial medical care before the victim was transported for further treatment.

Following the attack, the Israeli military intensified its presence in the area, initiated a pursuit of the suspect, and established roadblocks on roads leading to adjacent villages. A security cordon was imposed, with heightened military measures around Nablus.
