Israel Foils Numerous Terror Attacks Against Jews Abroad

Israeli security forces, in cooperation with international partners, have recently thwarted multiple terror attack attempts targeting Israelis and Jews in various countries, including Western nations. These operations were reportedly stopped just minutes before they were set to be carried out, according to security officials.

Over the past year, dozens of significant terror incidents planned against Israeli and Jewish targets globally have been foiled. While Iran and Hezbollah have historically been the primary entities behind such attacks, the security establishment has recently observed Hamas significantly expanding its international terror efforts.

This surge in Hamas activity abroad is attributed to difficulties in executing attacks from the West Bank and ongoing conflict in Gaza, leading the organization to seek broader operational opportunities internationally. Despite Hamas's increased involvement, Iran remains the most significant source of terror threats abroad, directing, funding, and equipping cells for attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets.

A senior official from Israel's National Security Council (NSC) stated that Iran has substantially increased its bodies and infrastructure dedicated to advancing terror plots overseas, viewing it as a strategic worldview. The official noted that while the holiday season is always a period of heightened risk, this year is particularly concerning.

In response to these threats, the NSC issued a severe travel advisory urging Israeli citizens traveling abroad to exercise extreme vigilance, adhere to safety guidelines, and maintain maximum caution.
