Minister Idit Silman Expresses Outrage Over Treatment by Likud Party

Minister Idit Silman, who was demoted in the Likud party's primary elections and is unlikely to serve in the next Knesset, is reportedly experiencing significant frustration and anger regarding her treatment by the ruling party. According to reports, Silman flew to Italy with her husband on Sunday, but not before confiding in a close friend about her deep sense of insult from her party colleagues.

Silman allegedly complained that despite her son's wedding on Thursday, "almost no one in Likud called to congratulate" her. She also claimed that her calls were being ignored by Prime Minister Netanyahu's office. "They forget that I brought down the change government and gave them power," she reportedly stated. She added that the Prime Minister had met with her and her husband about four weeks prior but had offered no concrete assurances about her future.

Following these publications, Silman attempted to present a different narrative. She posted a picture from her son's wedding, writing, "Thank God for all the good. The true story is that I married off my dear son last week, we held a family event, no politicians were invited, moving forward with all strength."

However, Silman's response did not directly address the claims about the lack of congratulations or the alleged disregard from the Prime Minister's office. Her statement merely clarified that politicians were not invited to the event in the first place.
