Ofer Winter Adds Four Candidates to 'Am Israel' Party List Despite Polls

The "Am Israel" party, led by retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter, announced four new candidates joining its Knesset list on Sunday, defying recent polls that suggest the party may struggle to pass the electoral threshold. The new additions include Alam Ibrahim, a former combat soldier and commander in the Givati and Golani brigades; Raz Malka, a social activist from Kiryat Shmona; Lilach Chaim-Idelberg, a Nahariya city council member; and Arik Rubin, an American Jewish immigrant who became active in anti-Semitism advocacy after October 7.

Winter stated that the new candidates represent diverse backgrounds and that the party aims to promote a right-wing security agenda, integrate Haredim into the IDF, and support soldiers. The "Am Israel" party already includes figures such as advocacy activist Yosef Haddad and journalist Netaly Shem Tov.

Despite consistently poor polling results across various media outlets, Winter expressed confidence that "Am Israel" will be the "surprise of the elections."
