Otzma Yehudit Party Finalizes Knesset List, Senior MK Gets Top Slot

As the election for the next Knesset approaches its final stages, Otzma Yehudit party leader and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has announced key placements on the party's electoral list. MK Limor Son Har-Melech has been informed she will be placed in the fifth position on the party's list for the upcoming elections.

This decision significantly impacts MK Zviקה Fogel, who was in fifth place on Otzma Yehudit's list in the previous election and is now expected to be pushed down to at least seventh place. MK Yitzhak Kroizer is slated to take the sixth position.

The current projected list for Otzma Yehudit places Ben-Gvir first, followed by Tali Gottlieb in second, Yitzhak Wasserlauf in third, Amichai Eliyahu in fourth, Son Har-Melech in fifth, and Kroizer in sixth.

Son Har-Melech is recognized as a prominent figure within Religious Zionism, currently serving as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset and formerly heading the Health Committee. During her tenure, she championed legislation including the death penalty for terrorists, the annulment of the Disengagement Law, the return of settlements to the northern West Bank, and the cessation of UNRWA operations in Israel. She also advocated for harsher penalties for nationalistically motivated sexual offenses, promoted gender-segregated studies in academia, and expanded parliamentary caucuses focused on the Land of Israel, religious women, and the re-establishment of settlements in Gaza.

This placement follows Ben-Gvir's recent decisions regarding the list's composition. Days prior, he announced that Tali Gottlieb, who moved from the Likud party to Otzma Yehudit, would be placed second. Gottlieb secured this position after Yitzhak Wasserlauf relinquished the second spot to take third.
