Otzma Yehudit Party Finalizes Knesset List With Key Placements

As the election for the next Knesset approaches its final stages, Otzma Yehudit party leader and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has announced significant changes to the party's electoral list. MK Limor Son Har-Melech has been placed in the fifth position on the list, a move that pushes MK Yitzhak Kroizer to sixth place. This reshuffling notably impacts MK Tzviקה Fogal, who was fifth in the previous election and is now expected to be placed at least seventh.

Son Har-Melech is recognized as a prominent figure within the Religious Zionist movement, currently serving as Deputy Knesset Speaker and formerly heading the Health Committee. During her tenure, she championed legislation including a death penalty for terrorists, the annulment of the Disengagement Law, the re-establishment of settlements in the northern Samaria region, and the cessation of UNRWA operations in Israel. She also advocated for stricter penalties for nationalistically motivated sexual offenses, promoted gender-segregated studies in academia, and expanded parliamentary caucuses focused on the Land of Israel, religious women, and the renewal of settlements in the Gaza Strip.

This placement follows Ben-Gvir's recent decisions regarding the party's roster. Just days prior, he confirmed that Tali Gottlieb, who defected from the Likud party, would occupy the second spot. Gottlieb secured this position after Yitzhak Wasserlauf relinquished the second spot to take the third position.
