Hapoel Petah Tikva has signed attacking midfielder Tadros Damlash to a one-year deal with an option for two more seasons. The 21-year-old, who played last season for Hapoel Ramat HaSharon, will get his first opportunity in Israel’s Premier League.
Damlash was identified as a promising Israeli talent in the lower divisions and had been training with Hapoel Petah Tikva for several months. He impressed the club’s professional staff enough to earn the contract.
Last season, Damlash scored seven goals in 21 appearances for Hapoel Ramat HaSharon in Liga Alef South. He began in the youth system of Beitar Tubruk and also spent time with Maccabi Yavne and Bnei Yehuda.
After signing, Damlash said, “I thank the professional staff for the trust and I am happy to join a huge club like Hapoel Petah Tikva.” He added, “I am looking forward to stepping onto the pitch in the Premier League and proving myself.”
