Hapoel Petah Tikva signed attacking midfielder Taddros Damlash on a one-year deal with an option for two additional seasons. The 21-year-old, who played last season for Hapoel Ramat HaSharon, will get his first chance in Israel’s Premier League.
Damlash had been identified as one of the more promising Israeli talents in the lower divisions. He trained with Hapoel Petah Tikva over recent months and impressed the coaching staff enough to earn the contract.
Last season, he scored seven goals in 21 appearances for Hapoel Ramat HaSharon in Liga Alef South. He developed in Beitar Tubruk’s youth system and also played for Maccabi Yavne and Bnei Yehuda.
After signing, Damlash said, "I thank the professional staff for the trust and am happy to join a huge club like Hapoel Petah Tikva." He added, "I am looking forward to stepping onto the pitch in the Premier League and proving myself."
