The Council of Torah Sages, the spiritual leadership of the Shas party, convened today but did not reach a final decision regarding the composition of the party's list for the upcoming Knesset elections. No document was signed, and no vote took place during the session. Furthermore, there was no discussion about removing any incumbent Knesset members from the list.
During the meeting, new candidates' names, along with their résumés and professional backgrounds, were presented to the council members. A final letter detailing the proposed list is expected to be submitted for the rabbis' review by Tuesday.
The delay in finalizing the list comes as political parties across Israel are racing to submit their electoral slates ahead of the election deadline.
