Nazareth Front General Assembly to Decide on Candidate Amidst Internal Dispute
The General Secretariat of the Nazareth Front (Democratic Front for Peace and Equality) will convene on Monday at 6 PM in the Al-Awadiya hall in Shefa-Amr. The meeting will address the second seat on the Front's list, with a decision to be made on either confirming Jaafar Farah's candidacy or electing an alternative.
Maher Abed, the Nazareth Front's secretary, informed Panet that the gathering is prompted by an escalating internal crisis concerning Farah's nomination. Farah, who recently left the hospital, reiterated his commitment to his candidacy, stating that the General Assembly, which elected him, is the authorized body to confirm or withdraw his nomination.
The Nazareth Front, a political party operating primarily within Israel's Arab community, is facing internal divisions over the candidate for the second position on its electoral list. The outcome of Monday's meeting is expected to resolve this dispute and finalize the party's slate.
