A disturbing video from the Jerusalem Faction protests on Route 4, published Tuesday morning, has sparked an unusual uproar. The footage shows a young yeshiva student, identified as part of the Jerusalem Faction, visibly shaken with his face covered in blood after, according to protesters, he was beaten by police during the clearance of the demonstration.
The protests on Route 4 escalated into harsh confrontations between demonstrators and officers. According to the report, police used unusually forceful measures to clear the road and restore traffic.
Other clips circulating on social media reportedly show officers striking protesters, dragging people who were sitting on the roadway, and forcing the evacuation of the scene. Some of those removed from the road were later seen lying on the ground with torn clothing and visible injuries.
