Ailson Tavares Leaves Beitar Jerusalem for Portuguese Second Division

Beitar Jerusalem midfielder Ailson Tavares has officially been released from the club and signed with Chaves of the Portuguese second division. Tavares was released on Sunday for free, with Beitar Jerusalem saving his salary for the remainder of the season. The departure frees up a foreign player slot for Beitar, potentially allowing them to sign a new player before the transfer window closes. Tavares flew to Portugal on Thursday and is expected to join his new team shortly.

Tavares joined Beitar last season, making 21 appearances and providing one assist.
