Eyal Golan Releases New Song Ahead of Major Tour
Israeli music superstar Eyal Golan, widely recognized for redefining Mizrahi music and bringing it into the Israeli mainstream, has released a new single titled "Lone in the Big City." The song is the first from his upcoming album and was launched on his Instagram account on the morning of his birthday, coinciding with the start of his new tour at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv.
Golan, who has enjoyed a decades-long career marked by sold-out stadium shows and numerous hit songs that have become part of Israel's national soundtrack, described the release in an excited post as "a first song from a new album, with God's help we will succeed."
The new track, a poignant ballad exploring themes of painful and nostalgic relationships, emotional distance, and the loss of intimacy in daily life, features lyrics and music by Rotem Chen, Ofir Malul, and Idan Bakshi. Malul also handled the production, blending ethnic rhythms with strings, guitars, and bouzouki.
A music video directed by Amit Angel accompanies the song, which is being distributed digitally by D-Music. The full lyrics and song are available on various music platforms and via Google search.
