Fallen Officer's Daughter Sings Tribute 30 Days After His Death in Lebanon

The family of Major Harel Birnstock, who fell in battle in Lebanon defending northern Israel, has released a video marking 30 days since his death. His daughter, Ori, sings a tribute to her father, whom the family described as an admired commander, engineer, and exemplary family man.

Major Birnstock, 34, was killed in Lebanon exactly one month prior during a battle for the defense of the north and all of Israel. His family stated that Harel was a "much-admired company commander" who had completed many reserve duty rotations across various fronts. They further described him as a "charismatic leader who understood the gravity of the hour in the war for our home."

Beyond his military service, the family highlighted Birnstock's full life, noting his "maximum professionalism and thoroughness as a commander, as an engineer at Elbit, and as an exemplary family man." He was married to Eliya and was the father of four young children.

The released video features his daughter Ori singing in his memory. The family expressed their deep longing, stating, "Out of deep longing, his daughter Ori sings for him. A great loss for the family and for all of the people of Israel."
