Elderly Woman Critically Wounded in Shooting Near Her Home in Qalansawe
An approximately 70-year-old woman was shot and critically injured near her home in Qalansawe, in the Sharon region, early Sunday morning. The incident, reportedly stemming from a dispute, occurred around 5:49 AM.
Emergency medical services, including paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA), responded to the scene. They provided life-saving medical treatment to the woman, who sustained a significant penetrating wound.
Paramedic Atef Salam and senior MDA paramedic Ahmed Haj Yahya stated that they treated the woman for severe bleeding, administered medication, and stabilized her condition before transporting her to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba via a mobile intensive care unit. She arrived at the hospital in serious but stable condition.
The motive for the shooting is believed to be related to a personal dispute.
