Maccabi Haifa's Bettaï Suffers Head Injury During Match
Maccabi Haifa player Yilai Bettaï sustained a head injury during Saturday's match against Hapoel Petah Tikva and was stretchered off the field in the 20th minute. The incident occurred when Bettaï was struck forcefully in the head by a ball during a corner kick. He was replaced by Iyad Hallaili, who took over at right-back.
Bettaï initially continued playing for a few minutes after the initial impact but later fell to the ground, necessitating his substitution. Hallaili had previously replaced Bettaï in the right-back position during Maccabi Haifa's loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv for tactical reasons. Coach Barak Bakhar had opted to keep Bettaï in the starting lineup for the current match after deliberation.
Bettaï is scheduled to undergo further medical examinations to assess the extent of his injury. The team is reportedly concerned about the situation.
